We are starting to make all of our weighted blanket products with glass beads. As supply chain issues work themselves out and we stock plastic polly pellets again this listing can be used to ensure you receive glass bead fill.
**Please note, glass beads CANNOT be added to a READY TO SHIP blanket**
Glass beads are a great alternative to people who are extra sensitive to textures and sounds. These beads inside the blanket are not as bulky as the traditional poly pellets used in weighted blankets and no not make any noise when shifting inside the blanket.
Please note: There are some compatibility issues with using glass beads with certain fabrics. Most minky fabrics are compatible but some are not. Please contact us prior to ordering if you have concerns about your upgrade. ALL "dot" minky is compatible; however some of the specialty minky (i.e. "Sherpa" minky, "Llama" minky, and shaggy minkys) have a weave that is too loose to hold glass beads. Thank you for understanding.
Blankets made with glass beads remain machine washable and dryer safe.
You MUST purchase a blanket in addition to this listing. This is strictly an upgrade of material used to make your new weighted blanket.
*Please Note* Due to the size and consistency of the glass beads some materials cannot be used to create a weighted blanket with glass beads. Weave of fabric will determine eligibility. If glass beads cannot be used you will be notified and your upgrade will be canceled.

All Sales Final, with the exception of special order fabrics that are found upon receipt of fabric that glass beads are not compatible. In that case, a full refund for the glass upgrade will be issued and traditional pellets will be used to fill your new blanket.
As with any handmade item, there will be some variation on inch measurement and weight. Tape measures, quilting rules, yard sticks, and other measuring tools can and will measure an "inch" a bit different. We do our best to produce your finished product as close to the advertised dimension and weight as possible. Also, to ensure that your item remains in NEW condition, and to avoid any ALLERGY interactions, we DO NOT PREWASH FABRIC. After you receive your item, should you choose to wash-please note, the majority of our products are made with cotton or other natural fibers that can shrink during the laundering process.

Care instructions
All weighted items are MACHINE WASHABLE and DRYER SAFE. Wash with like colors, or separate on gentle cycle and dry on low heat in the dryer. Please refer to your machines manufactures suggestions on weight capacity before washing in your home appliances. Heavier blankets may require the use of an industrial washing machine, and dryer.

My daughter had one request of me, but as I've come to find out, Garfield fabric is in short supply. After contacting several other makers and being told no I came across Namaste. I was told quite quickly it wasn't in stock, but they would search for it. They asked if there was another pattern my daughter would like after speaking to my daughter, she did have something else in mind. Knowing the communication had been excellent, I came back to see if this request was able to be fulfilled. I was immediately sent pictures that met with what my daughter wanted, and ways to find something that she would like if the three options I was presented weren't what she wanted. This whole process start to finish was excellent and I honestly wish I could say more, but I'm limited in space. Would absolutely use them again for any future needs.

The glass beads make such a difference. I find my special needs son gravitates to the lap pads with the glass beads. Thank you for offering this as an option!
